One of the standout events is the Sunset Long Table Dinner, held on Cable Beach, where guests enjoy a multi-course meal created by top chefs, set against the backdrop of a stunning Indian Ocean sunset.
March to October
The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon that occurs along the tidal flats of Roebuck Bay, where the rising full moon reflects off the exposed mudflats at low tide, creating the optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon. This magical event occurs for two to three evenings each month between March and October, drawing visitors from around the world. To complement this natural wonder, Broome hosts the Staircase to the Moon Night Markets at Town Beach, offering a variety of food stalls, local crafts, and live entertainment. The markets provide a fantastic atmosphere where visitors can enjoy delicious local cuisine, browse unique arts and crafts, and listen to live music as they wait for the moonrise. This event is not only a visual spectacle but also a great way to experience Broome's community spirit and local culture.

The Broome Cup Carnival is one of the most anticipated events on Broome's social calendar, bringing together locals and visitors for a week of exciting horse racing and social festivities. Held at the Broome Turf Club, with its unique red dirt racetrack, the carnival culminates in the Broome Cup, a major race day that attracts thousands of spectators. The event is known for its vibrant atmosphere, fashion competitions, and lively after-parties that extend well into the night.
June to September
A Taste of Broome is a unique, multi-arts event held monthly during the dry season, celebrating Broome's rich cultural history through music, food, dance, and film. Each event offers a special dining experience featuring dishes inspired by Broome's multicultural heritage, including Asian, Indigenous, and European influences. Guests can enjoy an evening of live performances that tell the story of Broome's pearling history, the impact of World War II, and the blending of cultures that make the town so unique.

Broome Pride Mardi Gras Festival is a colorful and inclusive event celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community in Broome and the Kimberley region. Held over three days in March, the festival features a vibrant lineup of events, including the famous Mardi Gras Parade, drag shows, dance parties, and family-friendly activities. The festival kicks off with the Mardi Gras Launch Party, followed by the glittering Mardi Gras Cabaret, which showcases local and visiting performers in a night of entertainment.
